Karman Line
Karman Line is a virtual program designed to help patients with acquired brain damage enhance their everyday functioning through proven compensation strategies. Developed in close collaboration with Klimmendaal Rehabilitation Specialists, Radboud University, Donders Institute, and Yellow Riders, the program focuses on four key cognitive domains: Goal Management Training, Time Pressure Management, Energy Management, and Memory.
Each domain includes a set of interactive games that introduce and simulate effective strategies, giving users the chance to practice these skills in a motivating and playful environment. Accompanying the games is a mobile app that helps users plan how to integrate these strategies into their daily routines.
Throughout the development process, we worked closely with neuropsychologists in weekly meetings to ensure the program’s scientific accuracy and effectiveness. The project was also tested with multiple patients, allowing us to refine and adapt the experience based on real-world feedback.
Game Architect Studio played a central role in the project, handling all technical aspects of game and app development over the course of three years. By transforming traditional treatment protocols into engaging digital experiences, Karman Line empowers patients to strengthen their cognitive functions and improve their quality of life.
